VANITY OF VANITIES: THE PREACHER, YA-HA-SHA-YA-HA-WA (JOSIAH), AND THE ETERNAL LAW

What the Book of Qa-Ha-La-Tha (Ecclesiastes) Reveals About Law, Leadership, and the Limits of Institutional Power

INTRODUCTION: A QUESTION OF AUTHORSHIP

Among the most misidentified books in all of scripture is Qa-Ha-La-Tha (Ecclesiastes) — 'The Words of the Preacher, the son of Da-Wa-Da (David).' For centuries, corrupted tradition has assigned its authorship to Sha-La-Ma-Ha (Solomon), taking the royal persona presented in the text at face value. But a careful, uncontaminated reading of the sacred text reveals something far more historically precise — and far more prophetically powerful.

KEY VERSE — Qa-Ha-La-Tha (Ecclesiastes) 1:12

"I, the Preacher, was king over Yasharahlah (Israel) in Ya-Ra-Wa-Sha-La-Ma (Jerusalem)."

That single word — was — is the pivot upon which the entire question of authorship turns. Sha-La-Ma-Ha reigned until his death and never ceded his throne. He would not naturally have referred to his own active kingship in the past tense. The man who wrote these words had been king, had exercised that power in its fullness, and was now reflecting upon it from a position of sobering wisdom.

The true author is Ya-Ha-Sha-Ya-Ha-Wa (Josiah) — the last independent king to genuinely unify the remnants of the Twelve Families of Yasharahlah under one crown in Ya-Ra-Wa-Sha-La-Ma (Jerusalem).

PART I — THE IDENTITY OF THE PREACHER

Ya-Ha-Sha-Ya-Ha-Wa (Josiah): Son of Da-Wa-Da, King Over Yasharahlah

The genealogical record of 1st Da-Ba-Ra Ha-Ya-Ma-Ya-Ma (Chronicles) Chapter 3 establishes the unbroken royal line clearly: Ah-Ma-Na (Amon) his son, Ya-Ha-Sha-Ya-Ha-Wa (Josiah) his son. Ya-Ha-Sha-Ya-Ha-Wa is a direct descendant of Da-Wa-Da (David) — a true 'son of Da-Wa-Da' sitting on the throne. He carried, as was the custom of the era, his father Ah-Ma-Na's name as a Hebraic surname and identifier (Ya-Ha-Sha-Ya-Ha-Wa Ah-Ma-Na), making him legally and genealogically a 'son of Da-Wa-Da' in every sense the text demands.

Crucially, after the Ah-Sha-Wa-Ra (Assyrian) Empire collapsed, Ya-Ha-Sha-Ya-Ha-Wa expanded his authority northward into the former territories of the Northern Kingdom. As confirmed in 2nd Da-Ba-Ra Ha-Ya-Ma-Ya-Ma (Chronicles) 34:6, he exercised political and religious authority over the territories of Ma-Na-Sha-Ha (Manasseh), Ah-Pa-Ra-Ya-Ma (Ephraim), Sha-Ma-Ai-Wa-Na (Simeon), and Na-Pa-Tha-La-Ya (Naphtali). For a brief but historically documented window, Ya-Ha-Sha-Ya-Ha-Wa achieved what no king since Sha-La-Ma-Ha had achieved — a reunified Yasharahlah under one crown, ruled from Ya-Ra-Wa-Sha-La-Ma. He is the Preacher.

LASHAWAM-QADASH NOTE

Qa-Ha-La-Tha (Ecclesiastes) — from the root Qa-Ha-La, meaning 'the gathered assembly.' The Preacher is the one who gathers the people to deliver wisdom.

The Name Pattern of the Late Monarchy

A critical piece of evidence establishing Ya-Ha-Sha-Ya-Ha-Wa's authorial identity comes from the fluid name-substitution pattern documented throughout 2nd Da-Ba-Ra Ha-Ya-Mayama (Chronicles) Chapter 36 — the same chapter that records the final collapse of the monarchy. The text confirms that late-dynasty kings frequently had their names changed or substituted due to political and familial transitions:

Ah-La-Ya-Qa-Ya-Ma (Eliakim) became Ya-Ha-Wa-Ya-Qa-Ya-Ma (Jehoiakim). Ma-Tha-Na-Ya-Ha (Mattaniah) became Taza-Da-Qa-Ya-Ha-Wa (Zedekiah). This fluid naming convention directly supports the principle that Ya-Ha-Sha-Ya-Ha-Wa could and would carry his father Ah-Ma-Na's name as a dynastic identifier — confirming the authorial attribution with precision.

PART II — THE WITNESS OF YA-RA-MA-YA-HA-WA (JEREMIAH)

The Book of Ya-Ra-Ma-Ya-Ha-Wa (Jeremiah) provides the frontline prophetic account of everything the Preacher of Qa-Ha-La-Tha describes. Where Qa-Ha-La-Tha is philosophical and reflective, Ya-Ra-Ma-Ya-Ha-Wa is raw and immediate — but they testify to the identical spiritual reality.

Ya-Ra-Ma-Ya-Ha-Wa 22:15-17 captures the tragedy precisely. Ya-Ra-Ma-Ya-Ha-Wa holds up Ya-Ha-Sha-Ya-Ha-Wa as a model of what righteous kingship looks like, then immediately contrasts it with the wickedness of Ya-Ha-Wa-Ya-Qa-Ya-Ma (Jehoiakim), Ya-Ha-Sha-Ya-Ha-Wa's own son and successor. The father poured his entire soul, wealth, and military might into a sweeping institutional reformation. The son, upon inheriting that legacy, reversed it almost instantly. The very labor, the great works, the storehouses, the restored temple, the dismantled altars of Ba-Ai-La (Baal) — all of it was abandoned the moment the institutional authority that enforced it was removed.

This reality gives Qa-Ha-La-Tha 2:18-19 its devastating weight: 'I hated all my toil in which I toil under the sun, seeing that I must leave it to the man who comes after me — and who knows whether he will be wise or a fool?' That question was answered in the most painful way possible. Ya-Ha-Sha-Ya-Ha-Wa left his labor to Ya-Ha-Wa-Ya-Qa-Ya-Ma — and Ya-Ra-Ma-Ya-Ha-Wa records that the son was a fool. Vanity of vanities.

PART III — OUTWARD POWER VERSUS TRUE SPIRITUAL REBIRTH

Here lies the central lesson of the Preacher's life, and the central warning of this entire study. Ya-Ha-Sha-Ya-Ha-Wa accomplished extraordinary things through institutional power. He tore down the high places. He smashed the Ah-Sha-Ra (Asherah) poles. He restored the Book of Hathawaratha (The Law). He oversaw the greatest Pa-Sa-Khaa (Passover) since the era of the Judges. By every external measure, his reformation was the most thoroughgoing in the history of the monarchy.

But he could not legislate the hearts of his people.

Yahawah — through the prophet Za-Pa-Na-Ya-Ha-Wa (Zephaniah), speaking during Ya-Ha-Sha-Ya-Ha-Wa's own reign — warned that the transformation had not penetrated to the inward parts. The people complied outwardly because a righteous king demanded it. Their mindsets, their internal alignment with Hathawaratha, remained fundamentally unchanged. The moment the institutional pressure was removed — the moment Ya-Ha-Sha-Ya-Ha-Wa fell at the Battle of Ma-Ga-Da-Wa (Megiddo) — the entire structure he had built evaporated.

THE CORE DISTINCTION

Outward institutional compliance versus inward spiritual transformation. Yahawah does not demand subjects — He calls covenant people. The difference between a subject and a covenant person is that the covenant person keeps Hathawaratha because they love Yahawah, not because a king commands it.

This is precisely what Mawashayai Yaraya (Savior Anointed) identified in Ya-Wa-Khaa-Na-Na (John) 14:15: 'If you love me, keep my Hamatazawatha (Commandments).' The operative word is love. True righteousness is not enforced from above — it flows from within. Ya-Ha-Sha-Ya-Ha-Wa misunderstood the nature of the transformation required. He reformed the institutions. Yahawah required the hearts.

Without that inward alignment — what the scriptures call being 'born again' in the fullness of covenant meaning (not the corrupted Greek-influenced 'conversion' doctrine) — building external religious structures is, as the Preacher declares, a chasing after the wind.

PART IV — THE MODERN PARALLEL: POLITICAL OPPORTUNISM AND UNIVERSAL LAW

The pattern Ya-Ha-Sha-Ya-Ha-Wa embodied does not belong only to the ancient world. It repeats with precise regularity in every era where worldly authority attempts to appropriate the things of Yahawah for political ends.

On May 4, 2026, the government of the United States formally issued what became known as the 'Shabbat 250' proclamation — establishing a national recognition of the seventh-day Sha-Ba-Tha (Sabbath), framed around civic unity and historical commemoration. On the surface, this appears to align with the command of Yahawah. The timing — from Friday evening to Saturday evening — is accurate. The day itself is correct.

But the underlying intention is the critical issue.

When a government appropriates a divine ordinance not out of Ah-Ha-Ba (love) for Yahawah but as a geopolitical tool — as a cultural signal to align with a particular political interest — it strips the Sha-Ba-Tha of its sacred purpose. The Sha-Ba-Tha is not a civic holiday. It is not a cultural heritage celebration. It is a covenant sign between Yahawah and Yasharahlah — a sign that has existed since the seventh day of creation, documented in Qadasha Barahshayatha (Genesis), the Books of Khaa-Na-Wa-Ka (Enoch), Sha-Ma-Tha (Exodus), Ba-Ma-Da-Ba-Ra (Numbers), Ma-Tha-Ya-Wa (Matthew), the Revelation, the Tha-Ha-La-Ya-Ma (Psalms), Ya-Sha-Ra (Jasher), Ya-Ba-La-Ya-Ma (Jubilees), and the sacred texts of the nations.

To use that sign for man-pleasing political leverage is to repeat, at national scale, exactly what Ya-Ha-Sha-Ya-Ha-Wa did at the personal and institutional level — enforcing compliance without securing devotion. The warnings of 2nd Ah-Za-Ra (Esdras) chapters 7 through 16 and the Revelation chapters 7 through 22 speak directly to this: world leaders in the final era will exploit spiritual principles to sustain hollow political architectures. When human governments attempt to regulate the things of Yahawah for worldly gain, those governments march — blindly and with confidence — toward the precise collapse and vanity the Preacher recorded.

PROPHETIC CONVERGENCE

The proclamation of Sha-Ba-Tha (Sabbath) recognition by worldly governments is not the fulfillment of the Law — it is the signal of systemic collapse. 2nd Ah-Za-Ra 7-16 and Revelation 7-22 both point to this final-era pattern: rulers using divine principles as political tools while the foundation beneath them disintegrates.

CONCLUSION: THE ETERNAL LESSON OF THE PREACHER

Qa-Ha-La-Tha is not a book of pessimism. It is a book of supreme wisdom delivered by a man who had everything — power, reform, legacy, unity — and watched it turn to smoke in his hands because the deepest requirement was never met.

The requirement is not institutional obedience. It is not political proclamation. It is not national reformation. It is the circumcised heart — the inward alignment with Hathawaratha (The Law) that flows from Ah-Ha-Ba (love) for Yahawah and produces covenant faithfulness in every area of life.

Ya-Ha-Sha-Ya-Ha-Wa the Preacher cried out from the ruins of his greatest accomplishments: 'Fear Yahawah and keep His Hamatazawatha (Commandments) — for this is the whole duty of mankind.' Not the kings. Not the governments. Not the institutions. Mankind — each individual, each family, each tribe, walking before Yahawah in the wholeness of covenant devotion.

That lesson was written for the last days. We are in them now.
